This piece based on the beloved hymn tune Nun danket alle Gott (Now Thank We All Our God) is written in the key of F major and 6/8 meter. Phrases of the hymn in Siciliana rhythms alternate with the refrain imitating the rocking motion of the Berceuse. It will be very effective in liturgy and recitals whenever contemplative music is desired. Dedicated to Eric Holderman.
