In this slow meditation on the beloved Happy Birthday tune, the melody is first heard in the soprano in the key of C major, then in the tenor in the key of F major and finally in the bass in the home key of C major. The tune is enveloped in sweet yet spicy harmonies played on the string stops. This composition will work very well as a liturgical and/or recital piece. Dedicated to Ausra on the occasion of her birthday.
