In this gentle meditation based the well-known Christmas chorale melody Vom Himmel hoch, the tune is presented both in the pedals and right hand part in alternation. Meanwhile the left hand plays colourful chordal accompaniment figures in 5/4 meter. This composition will be very effective in liturgical organ playing and recital programs whenever contemplative music is desired.
