This is a gentle meditation on the hymn tune DIX written in the key of G major and 3/4 meter. The tune is presented in the right hand part played by mutation stop combination. The left hand plays duets between alto and the tenor creating colourful harmonies. The pedals reinforce the foundation of the chords. This piece will be very effective in liturgical organ playing and recital programs. Dedicated to James Flores.
