This is my original meditation on the beloved hymn tune FINLANDIA, often sung to the text Be Still, My Soul in the key of Eb major. The hymn tune is played in the right hand part with the reed registration while the left hand and pedal parts play colourful ostinato patterns around it. Dedicated to my husband Vidas Pinkevicius. This composition will be very effective in liturgical organ playing and concert programs whenever contemplative music is desired.
