This is my original meditation on the beloved hymn tune FINLANDIA, often sung to the text Be Still, My Soul in the key of F major. The hymn tune is played in the pedal part with the reed registration in the tenor range while both hands weave colourful ostinato patterns around it. Dedicated to Phil Lehenbauer. This composition will be very effective in liturgical organ playing and concert programs whenever contemplative music is desired.
