This is a gentle meditation on the hymn tune Gustate, which is an old Irish melody. The hymn tune is presented in the right hand part twice, first in the key of D major and then in F major. The piece ends in the home key of D major. A charming refrain connects the phrases of the hymn. This accessible composition will be very effective in liturgical organ playing and recital programs whenever contemplative music is desired. Dedicated to James Flores.
