In this meditation on the beloved hymn tune Nicaea (often sung to the words of Holy, Holy, Holy) the hymn tune appears in the right hand part, first in D major and then in F major. The left hand and pedal parts play asynchronous ostinato motives around the tune producing colourful harmony. The piece ends with the last phrase of the hymn in the D major key. This composition will be very effective in liturgical and concert organ playing whenever contemplative music is desired. Dedicated to Vidas Pinkevicius.
