This is a four-movement suite based on the well-known chorale tune Wie schön leuchtet der Morgenstern, traditionally associated with Epiphany. The joyful Prelude in D major is followed by the elegant Offertory in F major and meditative Communion in Bb major. The cycle concludes with the majestic Postlude in D major.
